Snow removal in Meridian, Idaho

We would rather treat your lot before the storm than dig it out after. Your trigger depth, your schedule.

Book it before the snow, not after

Snow contracts get signed in September and October. The properties that call in December are calling everyone in December.

We would rather be on your lot before the first storm than after it. Liquid ice melt applied to clean, bare pavement keeps ice from bonding to the surface in the first place, and it takes noticeably less material than treating a lot that already has snow sitting on it.

Since we bill for the material we actually apply, a property that stays ahead of the weather costs less across a season than one that gets rescued after every storm.

What winter actually looks like here

Meridian has no active weather station of its own. The nearest long term record is Boise Air Terminal, about ten miles east, and its 1991 to 2020 normals give the honest picture: about 17.6 inches of snow a year, and 108 days a year at or below freezing.

The freezing days matter more than the snowfall. A contractor whose whole offer is a plow truck has very little to do in a mild winter. Treating before storms is something that pays off every winter, not just the big ones.

Those same 108 freeze cycles are what open cracks in your pavement over the winter, which is why the fall is the right time to get cracks sealed.

You set the trigger

Most snow contractors sell you a contract and tell you what is in it. A small office lot with light traffic does not need the same service as a medical building that has to be clear at seven in the morning.

Ice melt only

No plowing. We treat and keep it treated.

Plow at 1 inch

We show up once accumulation reaches an inch.

Plow at 2 inches

Same, at two inches.

Your number

Any depth you want to set. We respond as close to your trigger as conditions allow.

What it costs

Plowing, first hour$125 (1 hr minimum)
Plowing, each additional hour$75
Liquid ice meltBilled by the gallon applied

Plowing is priced by the time it takes to clear the lot, which means a well laid out property with somewhere to put the snow costs less than one without.

We do not round aggressively. An hour and ten minutes is an hour and ten minutes, not two hours.

Snow stacking is available where the property has somewhere to put it. We familiarize ourselves with your property before winter begins so we are not learning the layout in the dark during the first storm.

Where our service stops

We plow and treat parking areas and drive lanes. We do not clear sidewalks, playgrounds or similar small pedestrian areas.

That is worth saying plainly rather than letting you find out in January. If you need sidewalks cleared, you will need someone else for that part, and it is better to know now while you are still choosing.

Questions we get

What does snow removal cost in Meridian?

Plowing is $125 for the first hour and $75 for each hour after, with a one hour minimum. Liquid ice melt is billed by the gallon we apply. Because plowing is priced by time, a lot with good access and somewhere to stack snow costs less to clear.

How much snow before you plow?

Whatever you decide. Common triggers are one inch or two inches, and some properties choose ice melt only with no plowing at all. We set it in the agreement.

Do you clear sidewalks?

No. We handle parking areas and drive lanes. Sidewalks, playgrounds and similar pedestrian areas are outside what we do.

Is it cheaper to treat before a storm?

Generally yes. Treating clean pavement before snow falls uses noticeably less material than treating snow that has already accumulated, and we bill for material applied.

Can you stack snow on our property?

Yes, where there is a reasonable place to put it. It is worth walking the lot before the season to agree on where.

When should we sign a snow contract?

September or October. By the time the first storm arrives, the properties with agreements in place are the ones getting served first.
